A problem solver, engineer, and developer all in one.

I've always enjoyed building, from legos, to computers, to medical devices, to software. I first studied biomedical engineering to combine my love for technlogy with my desire to help others. I learned how to troubleshoot, problem solve, and communicate with other hospital staff in a high stress, high pressure hospital environment where the focus was on patient care. But I found that software was closer to my creative building roots and I started to transition and make technlogies of my own.

Throughout college and work life, I had tiny interactions with coding; whether it was using MATLAB or R to graph statistical data, or using Python and C# to learn how to make my own applications and mini games. I decided to eventually join App Academy, a rigourous bootcamp where I developed not only a set of full stack development skills, but a deeper appreciation to what goes into making applications and websites. I hope to further this journey whether that would involve deepening my understanding of React and Rails as a Full Stack developer, learning Django or Flask to explore more backend related roles and working directly with databases, or even revisiting C# and try my hands as a mobile game developer. I'm excited for the future to come!

I strongly believe that my previous education and work experience work well to complement the skills I'm currently trying to acquire as a developer. I hope to bring the skills I gained in the medical field to any coding task or challenge I encounter. If I can handle the COVID-19 pandemic, I think I can handle any bug that may come my way!
